Generation-Z(Gen-Z) led by Kenyan popular comedian Erick Omondi,
The National holiday is preserved on Monday 21st where it will be celebrated at Kwale county.
The program will start at 9:00 am, dress code being black and also carry a Kenyan flag and a candle. “Every generation has its hero’s and these are Ours,”Eric tweeted today morning . The party is set to celebrated fallen heroes who died on this year protests led by Gen-Z movement in act of of rejecting Finance bill 2024 and also rejecting the President.
Originally, the Mashujaa Day was known as Kenyatta Day and was celebrated in honor of Kenyans founding President Jomo Kenyatta and other freedom fighters. However the new constitution was made on August 24th 2020, the name was changed marking a new journey in Kenyan’s history for all Shujaas.
On 20th June is when the Gen-Z movement a movement which was leaderless and fearless risked in entering the parliament a day which the finance was to be passed by the members of the parliament. The security was very tight around CBD and also psrliament area. The police decided to use live bullets which killed almost fifteen young souls. The Gen-Z has made many protests during June-July period and most of these protest people were harmed, hurt, beaten by police use of tear gas water cans and also killed by use of live bulleting.
Therefore almost one million have made there presence on this oncoming National holiday to be hold at Uhuru park as seen on X. Despite activist Morara Kebaso posting and also tweeting on his social media platforms yesterday that the the event will be held in Narok many people have rejected this through social media platforms making their final decision the party is to be held at Uhuru Park Nairobi which they have already booked as confirmed by Erick Omondi on one his post in X.
